Number Tracing Worksheets, 1 to 10

Print the pack and trace one to three rows a day. Count out loud with fingers or objects before writing, so each digit is linked to a quantity. At school it works as a center activity, and at home it fits in with a snack or a bedtime routine. Take extra time for 10, which is the first number written with two digits. After the pages are done, ask the child to write the numbers on a blank sheet.

This set follows the counting order children know from songs and fingers, which gives the written digit something to attach to. Most trouble comes from direction: 1 drawn with a long flag, 2 and 5 written backwards, and 7 turned the wrong way. The number 10 is a special step, because it joins a 1 and a 0 on one line.
