Number Tracing Worksheets, 1 to 10

Numbers 1 through 10 on three-lined paper, a full row per number: solid model first, then dashed outlines to trace across the line. It follows the counting order kids already know from songs and fingers, so tracing the digit lands next to a number they can already say. Two pages at Large size, one at Small.

FAQ

Is 10 written as two digits?

Yes, 1 and 0 side by side in one row, which is the first two-digit number a child writes. If they have not traced 0 yet, the 0 to 9 page covers it first.

Which digits do kids reverse most?

3, 5, 7 and 9 are the usual mirror-writing suspects, and 6 and 9 get swapped for each other. Watch the first traced attempt in each row; the solid model at the start of the row is there to check against.

Can my child practice on a tablet instead of paper?

Yes. The Practice online mode puts a pen tool over the exact same page, so kids can trace with a finger or stylus, clear, and try again without burning through paper.

What age is number tracing for?

Preschool and kindergarten for the single digits, kindergarten and first grade for the teens. Large lines for a first go, Medium once the digits stay inside the guides.

What lines are these letters written on?

Standard three-lined handwriting paper: a top line, a dashed middle line at x-height and a solid baseline, with room below for descenders. Choose Large, Medium or Small line height to match your child's stage.

How do I print this number tracing worksheet?

Click Download PDF and print at 100% scale. The page is already sized for US Letter with printer-safe margins, so no fit-to-page fiddling is needed.
