Reward Chart
A sticker chart with numbered boxes leading to a highlighted reward box at the end. Write the goal on the 'I am working on' line and the prize on the 'My reward' line, then color or sticker a box each time the goal is met. Ten boxes suit younger children and short-term goals; twenty or thirty stretch the effort over a few weeks.

FAQ
How many boxes should a reward chart have?
Ten for children under six and for habits you want to lock in fast. Twenty is the usual choice for school-age children. Thirty works for older kids and month-long goals; any longer and motivation tends to fade before the reward.
Can I print the child's name on it?
Yes, type it in the panel and it appears on the name line. Or leave it blank and write it by hand.
Can we mark boxes on a tablet?
Yes, with Write online you can color the boxes with a finger. Stickers on a paper chart are more satisfying for most children, which is the whole point.
What should the reward be?
Something the child chooses and you can deliver the day the last box is filled: a family outing, a later bedtime on Friday, picking dinner. Delayed or vague rewards undo the chart.
Is this free?
