About Printivu

What it is

Printivu is 10 generators behind 484 pages: word searches on 90 themes, math from counting objects to two-step equations, handwriting in print and cursive, phonics, sudoku, mazes, coloring pages, graph and lined paper, calendars and classroom charts. Nothing here is a scanned PDF. Each page draws the worksheet when you open it, redraws it when you move a control, and the file you download is that drawing.

How a page is made

Every worksheet is a single SVG drawing built from a seed. The preview on screen is that SVG; the PDF is the same SVG converted, with the fonts embedded, so line positions, letter shapes and answer keys match to the pixel. New version changes the seed and nothing else, which is how a class of thirty gets thirty different sudoku grids at the same difficulty, and how the 5 versions switch packs them into one file with a key for each.

Answer keys are produced by the same code that produced the puzzle, not typed in afterwards. Measurements are real: quarter-inch graph paper is a quarter inch on the printed sheet, on US Letter or A4, as long as the print dialog is at 100 percent.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no account, no email capture and no locked tier. The site runs on advertising. Pages you star and settings you change are kept in your own browser, not on a server. The only limit is a fair-use cap of 60 PDF downloads per hour per connection, which a teacher preparing a week of material will not reach.

Using the printables

Print and copy as much as your classroom, homeschool, tutoring or home needs. The small printivu.com stamp in the footer stays on the page; reselling the sheets or re-uploading them elsewhere is not allowed. The full rules are on the terms page.

Who runs it

Printivu is published by the Printivu Team. Bug reports, printing problems and theme requests go through the contact page; theme requests in particular decide which word lists get added next.
