What is isometric paper used for?
Drawing three-dimensional objects on a flat page: cubes and cube stacks in math, technical sketches in design and engineering, pixel-art and game maps, and quick 3D diagrams in physics. Every edge of a cube lies along one of the three line directions.
Which triangle size should I choose?
Medium (about 1/5 inch) is the general-purpose size. Large is easier for young students and bold sketches. Small packs more detail on a page for finished technical drawings.
Can I write on it on a tablet instead of printing?
Yes. Press Write online above the preview and the sheet becomes a drawing surface with a pen and eraser, so it works as scratch paper on an iPad or a touchscreen laptop. Clear it and start again as often as you like.
How do I draw a cube on isometric paper?
Draw a vertical line for the front edge, then follow the two 30-degree line directions from its top and bottom to make the left and right faces, and close the top with two more 30-degree lines. Each edge covers the same number of triangle sides.
Does landscape work for isometric drawings?
Yes, and it is often the better choice for wide objects and stair diagrams. Switch Orientation to Landscape and the grid is recomputed for the wider page.
Does it print on A4 as well as US Letter?
Yes. Switch Paper size to A4 in the panel and the page is laid out again for 210 by 297 mm with the same margins, so nothing is scaled or cropped. Print at 100 percent either way.
