FAQ
How many cards do I get, and are they different?
One or two cards per page, and the 5 versions switch adds pages, so up to ten cards in one PDF. Every card is a different arrangement of the theme words; the call sheet on the last page lists the words in a shuffled order with a box to tick each one as it is called.
How do I run the game?
Hand out the cards, keep the call sheet, and read the words in the printed order, ticking each box. When someone calls bingo, check their marked words against the ticked boxes. Regenerate for the next round; the call order and the cards both change.
Can this be played on a tablet?
Practice online puts a pen tool over the same sheet, so words can be written or squares marked with a finger and wiped for the next game.
How do I print this bingo card?
Click Download PDF and print at 100% scale. The page is already sized for US Letter with printer-safe margins, so no fit-to-page fiddling is needed.
Which grid size should I use?
5 by 5 with a free center is the classic and uses 24 words. 4 by 4 (16 words) and 3 by 3 (8 words) are for younger classes or shorter games, and both still draw from the whole theme list, so different cards stay different.
Can I make bingo cards from my own words?
Yes. Paste your vocabulary list into Your own words in the panel and every card is built from it. Eight words fill a 3 by 3 card; 24 or more fill a 5 by 5 with no repeats, and with fewer some words appear twice on a card, which the page says under the title.
Can I get different versions for each student?
Turn on the 5 versions switch before downloading. You get five different sheets in one PDF, each with its own answer key, so neighbouring desks cannot copy.
