How do dot to dots work?
Start at the green dot marked 1 and draw a straight line to 2, then 3, and so on around the shape. The last number connects back to the first, and the picture is ready to color. The answer key shows the finished outline.
Can the dots count by 2s, 5s or 10s?
Yes, switch Count by in the panel. The dots stay in the same places and the labels become 2, 4, 6 or 5, 10, 15, which turns the puzzle into skip counting practice. Each skip pattern also has its own page.
Can I color it afterwards?
That is the second half of the activity. The outline is closed, so once the dots are joined the shape colors cleanly, on paper or with the online fill tool.
How do I print this dot to dot page?

What does the Dots control change?
How many dots the outline is cut into. Fewer dots means bigger jumps and an easier page for preschoolers; more dots means a smoother outline and counting further, which suits first and second grade.
What age is this for?
Preschool and kindergarten at the normal setting: short counting and big jumps between dots. Counting by 2s or 5s pushes the same page up to second grade.
