Does the theme include actual sweets or just general food?

Both. Words like LOLLIPOP, CARAMEL and TAFFY are sweets, while PIE, BUN and SODA widen it to baked goods and drinks. For candy only, use My own words and type your list.

What if a child finds a word and cannot spell it?

Ask them to copy it onto a separate line from the list, then cover it and write it again. The search gives them a first look and the copy step gives actual spelling practice.
